2025 was an interesting year for pharmacy, with many changes to the industry. Rite Aid shut its last store after 63 years in business. The proliferation of AI (artificial intelligence) has enhanced the managed care process, helping to streamline the prior authorization process, and a government shutdown caused delays in new drug reviews and approvals.
